Oh lawd I’m bound to hear about their name change from MI L.
“ First Lady A, now The Chicks? What’s next taking Ge or ge Washington off the dollar bill?” She’ll say to me. I’ll smile and go get another drink.

Good for them. Though I wonder if “The Chicks” is too generic for them to trademark.
Either way is this about the closest I get to listening to them:

I think all the inbreds all stopped listening to them when they made the hugely controversial move to oppose the Iraq War.

Such a kind, gentle choice of words.

I will associate this image with you. Dix’s
work is compelling, clearly one whom the horrors of WWI impacted greatly. Someone who was compelled to put out there what he saw as f**ked up in the world. Or maybe because he was also compelled to be a part of what he saw as f**ked up in the world. Or maybe the world was a f**ked up place. We’re not seeing as much in this day to suggest otherwise.
Thanks for cluing me in.

I’m no sort of art historian but I think you could compare and contrast Dix’s work with that of Edward Hopper. Turns out their lives spanned the exact same period within three years.
